Chevrolet is a name almost synonymous with winning in motorsports,
and PMG has provided a wide range of services for General Motors'
largest division including entertainment/hospitality, lead generation and public
relations. GM Racing charged PMG with developing and managing a
complete turn-key entertainment/hospitality unit in support of sponsors and
engineers in conjunction with Chevrolet's racing efforts in the
Indy Racing League and the American Le Mans Series. The
state-of-the-art entertainment/hospitality and kitchen unit comes complete with
tent/awning and a full PMG support staff including an executive
chef.
PMG also manages all of Chevrolet's trackside entertainment/hospitality tents
and suites in conjunction with the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. This
includes tent setup and decoration, trackside catering, pit tours,
show car display on race day, and Chevrolet driver appearances and
interviews.
When Chevrolet made a triumphant return to Indy Car racing with
the Indy Racing League in 2002, support programs included Chevrolet
being the Official Pace Vehicle of the Indy Racing League. Chevrolet
asked PMG to coordinate all logistics in transporting Chevy pace
cars to all IRL events in North America and managing on-site display
and deployment of vehicles.
Chevrolet wanted to maximize its investment in motorsports
and called upon PMG
to help take its brand messages directly to consumers and develop
leads to future Chevrolet owners. PMG helped develop and is
responsible for managing and staffing all of Chevrolet's
lead-generation activities at Chevrolet displays in conjunction
with NASCAR Nextel Cup and IRL Indy Car racing. PMG has developed
a database for Chevrolet of tens of thousands of consumers
interested in obtaining more information on and purchasing the
Chevrolet product.
